Portraits
I love portrait photography. When I was a teenager I discovered the Hollywood Publicity shots of the 1930s and 1940s and for years I wanted to try and emulate them in the studio. That was one of the reasons why I started a portrait photography business. After some research I realised that things were very different in those days. Massive stages to work on. Masses of lighting. Soft lenses (today's camera lenses are incredibly sharp). The biggest difference was the team of people who retouched the negatives on glass plates using very soft pencils. So I decided to stay in the 21st century and stick with digital cameras and Photoshop. After all, there is so much opportunity for creativity in the digital world.
Just a note at this point. It's December 2020 and I am still not doing any studio work due to social distancing rules and all that. I am photographing out in the open, so if you are looking for some nice portraits then please Contact Me or visit my Pinner Portrait Photography website. You might need a coat and a scarf.
